Applied Kinesiology – a new progressive direction in alternative medicine, which arose at the turn of chiropractic neurology, osteopathy, kinesiotherapy and Chinese medicine. Applied Kinesiology focuses on muscle testing, vegetative-visceral, viscero-miotatycs reflexes. Official recognition at this stage in the United States will fail, but rather progressively develops and attracts the attention of various medical specialists. The rights and powers of applied kinesiology equalized with chiropractic.
In 1964, George Goodheart, a chiropractor, has developed a method of diagnosis called “applied kinesiology” on the basis of labor “Muscles: Testing and Function,” written by two therapists Kendall and Kendall. Later George Goodheart began teaching his method to other chiropractors.
In 1973 he was an informal organization Goodheart Study Group Leaders, which in 1974 chose the name “The International College of Applied Kinesiology» (The International College of Applied Kinesiology, ICAK), a 1975 was adopted by the charter and elected leadership, in 1976, had been “certified” founders, called “diplomacy.”
At the present stage of applied kinesiology is used primarily by chiropractors, naturopaths,physiotherapists, some doctors of allopathic and osteopathic.
